We actually were telling listeners to calculate their Smart BMI, because the conventional BMI is inherently flawed. Your Smart BMI is going to be a vastly different score than conventional BMI. Smart BMI takes into account age, sex, and even race in some cases, making it a more accurate representation of health. When you use the Smart BMI calculator it does provide a regular BMI number. But we aren’t interested in that number, but rather the SBMI number that shows up below the BMI, as well as the graph and the recommendations.
