I've been trying to figure out which Dr. stopped recommending fasting due to a concern about muscle loss... I am an experienced faster and am not concerned about this, I am just an information junkie and I just want to know who it was! :D

I have the book you are talking about on this podcast because of all the longevity science it speaks about. His words about fasting certainly concerned me a little in the beginning, but like you pointed out, his fasting time frames are too long and it's no wonder he had issues with muscle mass. The other thing was he trained far harder than most people would for various goals he had.
